RÉSUMÉ

The following résumé includes three categories of items pertaining to my background. Elements highlighted with red type are those that are obviously and directly related to conducting my business providing investigative services. Elements highlighted with blue type are directly related but not necessarily obvious to some people. The rest of the elements are not related but give you some idea of the kind of person I am.

Feb. 2005-Present        Owner and Agency Principal, HSI-Investigations. Agency license #2405. Registered Process Server, King County license #69492.

1996-present                 Owner, Humane Systems, Inc. dba HSI Investigations and as Disaster Leadership Group.

1992‑1996                     Partner, General Manager and Newsletter Editor for the International Search and Rescue Trade Association.

1986‑1996                     Staff Training Specialist and (Seattle only) internal Organizational Development Consultant. American Red Cross, Seattle‑King, Pierce and Snohomish County Chapters.

1983‑1996                     Owner, Emergency Management Associates, providing consulting and training to individuals and public and private organizations in urban disaster and wilderness emergency preparedness and response.

1979‑1985                    Natural Resources Planner, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Boise District Office, with collateral duties as District Safety Manager (incl. hazmat), SAR Coordinator, and Public Information Officer. Advisor to BLM State Office on SAR and disaster planning and management. 

1974‑1979                    Backcountry/Climbing Ranger, Public Information Officer, and Researcher, National Park Service, Pacific Northwest Regional Office, Mount Rainier National Park and North Cascades National Park.

March-May, 2003          Moulage artist and victim safety officer, TopOff 2 Exercise, Seattle. 

1970‑2000                    Member and Medic Program Leader (Seattle), Seattle Mountain Rescue Council and Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue. Includes Base Operations Leader experience and nine years of field experience as a Climber/Medic in ground based and med‑evac helicopter operations and considerable hospital emergency room experience in Seattle and in Boise.

1991‑1996                    Patient/Family Support Volunteer, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Vice-Presidency (1994) and Presidency (1995) as well as committee work with the Volunteer Advisory Council.
